EABS are to hold Annual graduate student symposium 2012
EABS are running an annual graduate student symposium for PhD students and post-docs, who are working on issues related to critical biblical studies; this may include Hebrew Bible or New Testament criticism, Jewish literature, social sciences in relation to religion and the Bible, biblical languages and linguistics etc. EABS welcomes a wide variety of interdisciplinary approaches!
In 2012 the event is running for the 4th time and will take place in Hamburg, Germany from 30th March to 1st April, 2012. It is a great opportunity for PhD students to network in an international environment, present papers, and engage in discussion with others, who are doing research in a similar subject area. Every year, two senior scholars attend the event. In 2012, EABS president Jorunn Okland (Oslo) and Diana Edelman (Sheffield) are attending. Furthermore, there is a joint session via Skype with Ehud Ben Zvi from the University of Alberta, Canada.
Call for abstracts is now open until February 15th, 2012.
