Conference "Jews in the Ethnic Mosaic of Eastern Europe" September 24–25, 2015, Kharkiv, Ukraine

In cooperation with History Department of Vasil Karazin Kharkiv National University, Ukrainian Center for Holocaust Studies, Kowalsky Eastern Institute of Ukrainian Studies, Center for Judaic Studies at the University of Latvia 

The organizers invite undergraduates, graduate students and young scholars to participate in the conference, which will work in the following topics:

·          Jews and surrounding communities in an urban space

·          Modern ideology and Eastern European Jewry

·          Jewish tradition and modern culture

·          Jews of Eastern Europe in the XX century

·          Holocaust in Eastern Europe

·          Jewish Heritage : Memory and Representation

 

Those wishing to attend the conference are to send by the June 22, 2015 to the email address ethnickh@gmail.com the following:

·          CV

·          Short proposal (no more than 300 words)

·          Motivation letter

Accommodation and meals for participants are provided by the organizers. If it is necessary, the organizers also provide grants for participants which partially cover travel expenses. Please inform the organizers if you need such grants in the application.
