Читаются следующие тексты:
- три рассказа о сестре-или-жене,
- изгнание Агари и Измаила,
- визит посланцев Яхве к Аврааму и в Содом.
Особое внимание будет уделено мифологическому контексту этих сюжетов, то есть параллелям в мифах, эпических традициях и сказках, которые обнаруживаются у других народов мира. В курсе рассматриваются также синтаксис и стиль библейской прозы.
