Romania, Romania, Romania': Between dream and reality in the first Half of the 20th Century

This panel sets to analyze the development which took place among the Jews in Romania in the first half of the 20th century. All four papers cover different areas of change: the cultural and social arenas, as well as the political and (Jewish) national arenas. Few of the papers will also use gender lens as an analytic tool, combined with other historical tools.
